Milang Environmental Centre is an organisation, run entirely by local volunteers. All our efforts are dedicated to providing funding and assistance to local community groups and events.
Opening hours - Wednesday and Saturday 10.00am - 3.00pm
Closed for public holidays & if the temperature is forecast to be 35C or over.
Our recycling services
We offer a range of recycling services designed to help the environment and give back to our community. Your recycling efforts directly contribute to local initiatives and projects, making a tangible difference. We accept drink containers, scrap metals and green waste. We also can supply mulch for a small fee and deliver locally.
Containers
Recycle your bottles and cans under the government beverage container deposit scheme and get your refund.
Green waste
Bring in your garden waste for responsible composting and environmental management.
Scrap metals
Dispose of your scrap metals responsibly and contribute to resource recovery. Fridges incur a $15 fee.
Mulch Sales
All profits are used to assist local community groups and projects in Milang.
Please note we are no longer able to accept, op shop items, furniture, building materials, timber, baby equipment, electrical appliances, tyres and gas bottles.
